Campus Administration

Dear Huffman Elementary School Community,

Angie LeVier

It is an honor and privilege to introduce myself as the principal of Huffman Elementary School.  I can assure you that I share in the school community’s commitment to caring for your children each and every day while providing them with a loving and productive learning environment that has been a part of HES in years prior.

The 2025-26 school year marks my 19th year in education. I have been a teacher, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal and now am honored to continue my career as a Principal. Since graduating from the University of Houston- Clear Lake with my Bachelor’s Degree and Lamar University with my Masters in Educational Leadership, I have served the communities of Galena Park, Dayton and Huffman in various educational roles. Although I have always felt at home in the classroom, it is in my position as an Instructional Coach and Administrator where I have felt most fulfilled. It is then that I have been given the opportunity to work collaboratively with teachers on a daily basis, while also remaining connected to the students learning and growing within the classroom.  I firmly believe that every child can and will excel and that the partnership between home and school is how students will thrive the most.

In addition to my role as educator, I am first and foremost a wife and mother. My husband, Nicholas, and I grew up together in La Porte and have been married 18 years. Our son, Ty, is 15 years old and is a 10th grader at Hargrave High School while our daughter, Taylor, is 9 years old and is a 4th grade student at HES.  As you can see, Huffman ISD is a place I am lucky enough to work at but is also a place I am proud to send my own children to for their education!

Throughout my time in Huffman ISD, and specifically at Huffman Elementary School, I have been given the privilege of learning about the community and the core beliefs and values that are within our district.  Huffman Elementary will continue with the tradition of excellence that has occurred in previous years and I am committed to continuing with the great things that have already been established.

Parents and community members, I look forward to visiting with you all throughout the school year.  Please stay tuned to our campus website and Facebook page for important dates such as “Coffee with the Crew,” Open House, and other fun events to come. To our students, I cannot wait to see you all soon as we start our 2025-26 school year!

In closing, please know that my door is always open to you, whether that is truly a face-to-face visit, a phone call or an email. I whole-heartedly welcome your conversation and positive input throughout the school year. I look forward to the great things that will continue at Huffman Elementary with the amazing faculty and staff, as well as with your support!

Sincerely,

Angie LeVier

Mrs. Tasha Bennett, Assistant Principal

Tasha Bennett

My name is Tasha Bennett, and my husband and I have lived in Huffman for 16 years. We have a 14-year-old daughter who will be a freshman at Hargrave High School this year. I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Houston-Downtown and my master's degree from Lamar University. I left my 20-year career in corporate America and began my career in education as a substitute teacher when my daughter started Kindergarten in 2015. I fell in love with nurturing, supporting, and teaching special education students at Huffman Elementary for the past nine years.

I am thrilled to join HES's stellar administrative team and look forward to serving our students, parents, and staff. I am committed to fostering an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and supported while collaborating with all stakeholders to meet our youngest falcons' emotional, social, and academic needs!
