Greetings Parents! Here is some updated information and reminders:
What a wonderful way to start our day! While it was hard to see those smiling faces with masks on, we know everyone was smiling! Your students are having a fabulous day and we are so grateful to have students back at HES! Thank you for your patience as we work hard to get all students in and out of the building safely. We know the first week of school has longer wait times, but we promise both arrival and dismissal will improve as our students learn the process. Here are some things that will be asked of you to help with safety for all.
Bike riders and walkers are not to be on campus until
Car riders must remain in their cars until 8:00 AM.
Tomorrow we will begin taking temperatures of car riders earlier. We will work our way down the line to hopefully speed up drop off.
Unless a student is a walker or bike rider, they must remain in the car with their parent/guardian. Please do not exit your vehicle to walk them to the front doors. This causes congestion and an unsafe environment.
ALL car riders and walkers must have a dismissal card. These cards must be validated in the front office with your ID. The best time to pick up your dismissal card is during the school day and not during arrival or dismissal. This, too, causes congestion and is unsafe for our students.
If you need to change the way your child gets home, you must call the front office. Please do not send a note or email to the teacher or the front office. For safety reasons, we must confirm your information prior to making the dismissal change.
Student dismissal begins at 4:00.
Thank you again for your patience and for adhering to the above policies and procedures! We are looking forward to a great 2020/2021 school year!
